Ashwood CDM was set up to specifically focus on offering dedicated advice under the CDM Regulations 2007 independently of any affiliation to other professional services.

 

It is very common for a Designer to offer services as a CDM Co-ordinator and from experience we know that there has to be a clear definition between the two duty holders. By offering only CDM Co-ordinator services we are able to be a totally impartial advisor to the client.

 

Our philosophy on each and every project is to ensure that the amount of effort devoted to managing health and safety is kept appropriate to the complexity of the project and level of risks. We also aim to minimize bureaucracy by keeping the content of our Pre Construction Information Pack specific and relevant to the individual project, the hazards identified and the risks involved.

 

Both Directors of Ashwood CDM are Registered CDM Co-ordinators with the Association of Project Safety (APS) and carry the designation RMaPS. With many years experience acting as Planning Supervisor under the CDM Regulations 1994, we became CDM Co-ordinators when the regulations were updated in 2007 and the role of Planning Supervisor ceased.

 

Our experience acting as CDM Co-ordinator in all sectors, and in particular the food industry, has given us the opportunity to work with a variety of clients such as Northern Foods PLC; Cavaghan & Gray Group Ltd; Nestle UK Ltd and McVities Ltd on many different and complex projects.

 

In addition to our experience of working within the food industry we have also worked with many other local clients on a variety of interesting projects within the following sectors:-

 

· residential developments;

· commercial developments;

· mixed use developments;

· industrial developments;

· food industry projects;

· leisure developments;

· retail developments.
